Human rights in the pandemic agreement: Civil Society Dialogue with Geneva missions

February 12, 2024 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

SAVE THE DATE! Human rights in the pandemic agreement

Geneva, 12 February 2024, 15:30 to 17:30 CET

This in-person civil society dialogue with Geneva Missions related to the INB process is convened jointly by the Geneva Global Health Hub (G2H2) and the Civil Society Alliance for Human Rights in the Pandemic Treaty (CSA). The dialogue will provide an important opportunity for Member States to share perspectives and consider proposals on how human rights principles and language – in particular on the right to health – can be improved in the pandemic agreement to provide the needed foundation for equitable and effective pandemic prevention, preparedness and response. It will include short contributions from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and other experts from academic and civil society organizations providing specific recommendations on the text of the agreement, followed by an open dialogue facilitated by G2H2 and CSA.

The meeting will be convened under the Chatham House Rule. Venue details to follow. Meeting followed by simple reception.
